Rajendra Prasad as Hitler

Natakireeti, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, will soon be seen as Hitler. Not the maniacal Hitler from the 20th century, but a funny new age Hitler from the 21st century. Rajendra Prasad is essaying this role in the movie ‘Top Ranker’. The film is being directed by Gollapati Narayana Rao and Pasupuleti Brahmam is the producer.

Speaking about his role in the film, Dr. Rajendra Prasad said “I will be seen as a college principal in this film. Hitler is a very serious person in real life. In this film, I try to be serious but I will end up making everyone laugh. It is a film that deals with the present day educationsystem”.

The movie is currently in post-production mode and the producer has informed us that it will release in Andhra Pradesh next month.

Potugadu’s dubbing in advanced stage

Manchu Manoj’s upcoming film Potugadu is gearing for its big release in August this year.Directed by Pawan Wadeyar, the film has Manchu Manoj, Simran Kaur Mundi, Sakshi Chowdhary, Anu Priya and Rachel in lead roles. The film’s post production is going on fullswing and currently, the dubbing process is going on and sources have informed us that it’s fast nearing completion. The film revolves around a young man who falls in love with four different women and Manchu Manoj’s characterization is said to be the major highlight. Sirisha and Sridhar have produced the film under Ramalakshmi Creations banner. Achu has scored the music.

Kochadaiyaan release in October?

Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan has been under production for a long time now and it has been quite a while since the makers have given a clarity over when it might hit the screens. The film’s post production is taking plenty of time because of extensive visual effects and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to deliver the best quality to the viewers. The latest buzz is that the film most likely to release in the final week of October as a Diwali special. Rajinikanth will be seen in dual roles and it also stars Deepika Padukone.The film has been made using the same technology as that of Tintin and Avatar. Soundarya Rajinikanth has directed it and Eros International has produced it. More details about the film will be revealed soon.

NTR  &  Shruti Haasan shoot at Ramoji film city

Young Tiger NTR and Shruti Haasan are participating in the shoot of ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ at Ramoji Film City. Samantha is the heroine in this movie and Shruti Haasan is going to be seen in a special role that is crucial for the story.

Harish Shankar is the director of this movie and Dil Raju is the producer. Ramayya Vasthavayya is currently scheduled for a September 27th release.

NTR will be seen in a powerful and stylish avatar in this movie. Harish Shankar has reportedly penned some powerful dialogues for his hero in this film and fans are eagerly waiting for some fireworks on the big screen. Thaman is the music director for this movie.

TAMMAREDDY TO MAKE A COMEBACK

Tammareddy Bharadwaja is a well known director and producer. After a very long gap, he is making a comeback as a director with a new project titled ‘Prathighatana’. We have been told that the movie will have actress Charmme in the lead role. Well known Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni will also be a part of the film.

Charmme will be playing the role of a journalist in the film. Regular shooting is expected to start soon and Mr. Tammareddy is planning a single schedule wrap up for this movie.

Incidentally, ‘Prathighatana’ is the name of a very famous Telugu film from 1986. That movie had actress Vijayashanthi in the lead role and director T. Krishna handled the film. The movie was a big hit in those days.

Will this modern day ‘Prathighatana’ work for Charmme? Let us hope it does.

FILMFARE AWARDS SET TO HOG THE LIMELIGHT

A galaxy of stars are going to descend in Hyderabad later tonight for the Filmfare South Awards. The grand gala ceremony is going to be held at HICC, Novotel and some of the top celebrities from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada film industries are expected to grace the event. In Telugu, Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, Mahesh Babu’s Businessman, S S Rajamouli’s Eega, Nithin’s Ishq, Ram Charan’s Racha and Allu Arjun’s Julayi are expected to hog the limelight. Samantha, Tamannaah, Anushka, Hansika and Nayanthara have been nominated for Best Actress category and among the directors, S S Rajamouli, Harish Shankar, Krish, Puri Jagannadh and Puri Jagannadh are in contention for the top prize. The event will also feature performances by actresses like Shruti Haasan, Amala Paul, Isha Talwar and several other celebrities including Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Catherine Tresa, Rana are going to attend the event.

MAHESH BABU’S SPECIAL BIRTHDAY PLANS FOR HIS DAUGHTER

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s lovely daughter Sitara turns one year today. On this occasion, Mahesh has made some special plans to celebrate her birthday. Mahesh, who is currently in Britain shooting for his upcoming flick “1: Nenokkadine” will reportedly host a party for the film’s unit.

According to a unit source, Mahesh has taken a day off from the shoot and will spend some time with his family. He has been shooting in different parts of Europe over the last few weeks and is expected to return in August. Directed by Sukumar, “1: Nenokkadine” has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

AAGADU’S MUSIC SITTINGS BEGIN

Aagadu, Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film in Sreenu Vaitla’s direction, will soon go on floors and already, Sreenu Vaitla is working towards getting everything ready. In June, he flew to Ooty for story discussions and in a recent interview, he revealed that although the comedy and action quotient are going to remain high, the screenplay is going to be quite different. Thelatest news is that music director Thaman and Sreenu Vaitla have begun the music sittings for the film. Over the next few days, the duo will be quite busy with this process and we can certainly expect another rocking album from the team which delivered music for Mahesh Babu’s earlier film Dookudu. Mahesh Babu and Tamannaah are playing the lead roles in this film. Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta are going to produce this film under 14 Reels Entertainment banner.
